Dominicus Web Solutions is a small web design and hosting company founded by Dominic Businaro. We create simple, readable, handcrafted interfaces balanced with a standards-based methodology, and we're based in Minnesota.

About This Site

This site was hand-built and is a mixture of (X)HTML, images and CSS. The site was made using a PC running the Adobe suite along with a mishmash of text editing and FTP applications. Although some MySQL database functionality exists, most of what you see is static. The client portal runs WHMCS which provides a feature rich yet easy-to-use billing and support solution.

Design

Dominicus believes that great design is in the details. We also believe that design must support functionality, and vice versa. One can't, and shouldn't, be used to overcome the weaknesses of the other. Design is more than just choosing colors, typefaces, shapes, and images. Good design works to present information in such a way as to support the information it presents.

When we design a web site, we're constantly considering how the site will be built and how it will function. This way, you can be sure that both design and usability will be considered along every step of the way.

Development

We specialize in (X)HTML, CSS and JavaScript front-end web development. In addition to being well versed in standards-based markup practices, we have production experience with several major JavaScript libraries (Moo Tools, Jquery, Yahoo and more). We also offer content management system integration, for easy site maintenance... We have experience with WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and Prestashop.

In addition to front-end web development, we also offer development in PHP and MySQL. We have an extensive network of freelancers we work with for other languages and can assemble just the right team for your project.

Marketing & SEO

Site marketing and search engine optimization (SEO) are geared towards achieving a high ranking in the major search engines. Site marketing and SEO, however, are not enough.
